Standard Security Features of a Heritage Safe |
|
|
Active Lock Bolts Heritage safes have as many as 22 active lock bolts up to 1 1/2-inch in diameter that extend a full 2-inches (twice as far as most brands) to lock securely behind the solid reinforced door frame. With only 1/64 of an inch of tolerance around each of our locking bolts, the need for extra support items is not necessary. Adding items such as bolt guides or other plastic devices can jeopardize the integrity and fire protection of the safe. |
| Recessed Solid Steel Door | Doors
on Heritage safes, built with the highest tolerance standards, are
fully recessed into the solid reinforced safe body, reducing pry-points
and preventing attack around the door edges. The door frame is constructed
of solid 5/8-inch steel for extra strength. |

Solid Reinforced Door All Heritage Safe doors are constructed of solid steel plate up to ½-inch thick, with a 4-inch thick angle structure. Unlike refrigerator or cheaper composite doors that give the appearance of thickness but lack the strength of solid steel, our reinforced doors will not compromise the security of one of the most attacked areas of the safe. |
| Concealed Internal Hinges | Internal hinges on all Heritage safes eliminate one of the most attacked critical points of the safe. The internal ball bearing design disguises the direction of opening and deters attack. |
| Ball Bearing Protection | Drill proof ball bearing protection safe-guards against drilling to critical areas. |
| Diam-a-Shield™ Hard Plates | Behind critical areas of a Heritage door is a solid hard plate to protect the lock, relockers and other critical areas. Diam-a-shield™ provides 30 times the drilling protection of other brands. |
| Quad Sleeve™ Relockers | Quad sleeve™ relockers are designed to trigger when the safe is attacked by torch, impact, or prying, resulting in a complete lockup of the Heritage safe. |
| Positive–Deadlock System | Heavy positive - deadlock locking mechanism is engineered for security. Heritage lock bolts cannot be forced into the lock mechanism regardless of the side impact forced upon them. |
| Seamless Body Design | Heavy body construction (up to 50 percent heavier than other comparable
brands) with fully penetrated continuous welds add strength to corners
and edges of Heritage safes. |
UL Listed Bank-Style Lock |
UL listed combination locks, the best in the industry, set the standard for security and reliability. Every Heritage safe comes standard with a UL listed Group II lock. |
| Please Note: The U.L. certification is a time specific test using specific type tools. With enough time and technology any safe may be entered. | |
